The Pillones waterfalls are an amazing natural spectacle near Arequipa. This hidden corner is home to a series of impressive waterfalls surrounded by lush vegetation and unique rock formations, creating a tranquil and picturesque environment ideal for exploring and enjoying nature.
We will pick you up at your hotel between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. and begin our journey to Pillones Falls.
On the way, we will make stops in the villages of Pampa de Arrieros and Patahuasi, offering you the opportunity to have breakfast on your own.
At about 10:30 a.m., we will arrive at the start of the hike, which will last approximately one hour downhill to the famous waterfalls.
Before reaching the falls, we will be impressed by the numerous rocks formed by erosion over time. We will walk among these formations until we reach the waterfalls, taking the necessary precautions in this challenging journey.
Once in front of the falls, you will be able to take amazing pictures, enjoy the warm weather and admire the rich local flora and fauna. Take the opportunity to have fun posing and replicating the various shapes of the stones, ranging from prehistoric animals to curious faces.
Finally, we will stop in the village of Imata for lunch on your own before returning to Arequipa, where we expect to arrive around 5:00 pm.
