The shrine enshrines the celestial rock cave (Amanoiwato) believed to be inhabited by a deity. It is famous as a sacred site possessing immense energy for healing the body and mind, as well as for bringing good fortune and elevating one's luck. A continuous stream of worshippers visits the shrine to receive goshuin (stamp seals) and omamori (charms), seeking divine protection.
