Your day begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel within the Second Ring Road of Hohhot. From there, you ’ll travel by comfortable vehicle to Xiangshawan, also known as Singing Sand Bay, located in the Kubuqi Desert.
Once you arrive, you’ll be amazed by the vast desert landscape. Xiangshawan is famous for its unique natural phenomenon: when you walk on the sand or slide down the dunes, you can hear a mysterious rumbling sound, as if the sand is singing. This is one of the three major singing sand dunes in China.
Your ticket includes access to the Xianxian Island (仙沙岛) area, where you can enjoy a variety of desert activities. Ride the long desert cable car for a panoramic view, take a camel ride with one of the largest camel herds in China, or try sand sliding and other exciting activities. You’ll also have the chance to watch performances by the Mongolian ethnic art troupe, showcasing traditional music and dance.
After about six hours of exploration and fun, you’ll board your vehicle for the return journey to Hohhot, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
Your guide provides live commentary in both Chinese and English, ensuring you learn about the desert ecology, Mongolian culture, and the history of this remarkable place. Please note that lunch is not included, allowing you to choose your own meal at the resort’s restaurants or bring your own snacks.
This tour is a genuine small-group experience with no shopping stops, so you can fully immerse yourself in the desert adventure.
