Shinsekai is famous for its iconic Tsutenkaku Tower, a symbol of Osaka's skyline. The area is renowned for kushikatsu (deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables) and other local delicacies, served in the bustling restaurants and street food stalls that line its streets. Shitennoji Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan and the first ever to be built by the state. It was founded in 593 by Prince Shotoku, a key figure in Japanese Buddhism.
