What you can expect
Experience the essence of Palermo with a unique experience on two wheels, cycling through its charming historic old town, a true treasure trove of history, art, and traditions. This bike tour allows you to discover the city in an authentic way, combining its most iconic landmarks with lesser-known and charming corners.
The tour starts from Discesa dei Giudici 13, an ideal starting point to immediately immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the historic old town. From here you will begin to explore some of Palermo's most iconic sights.
You will cross the splendid Piazza Pretoria, famous for its Renaissance fountain and statues, and then reach the majestic Quattro Canti, the Baroque heart of the city and the crossroads of the main historical axes. Shortly after, you will be able to admire the Cathedral of Palermo, an extraordinary example of architectural stratification that tells the storey of centuries of different dominations and cultures.
The route continues towards the Palazzo dei Normanni and Piazza del Parlamento, where you can feel the history of the ancient Kingdom of Sicily and the encounter between Norman and Byzantine art. Next, you'll reach the Teatro Massimo, Italy's largest opera house and a symbol of Palermo's cultural vitality.
You will then cycle towards the sea, to the charming Molo Trapezoidale, where the city opens onto the harbour and the Mediterranean, and then relax in the green Villa Garibaldi, a peaceful haven in the heart of the city.
The tour also includes a stop at the picturesque historic harbour of La Cala, a place full of atmosphere and deeply linked to the city's seafaring tradition.
To make the experience even more complete, there is a stop dedicated to Palermo's street food. You can sample typical specialities such as panelle and crocché, or – on Sundays – a delicious almond dessert, to conclude the tour with the authentic flavours of Sicily.
This bike tour is the perfect way to experience Palermo in a dynamic, authentic, and engaging way, combining culture, history, and gastronomy in one unforgettable experience.
To ensure an authentic and quality experience, the tour is limited to groups of up to 15 people.
