Start your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Parnaíba. Board a fast speedboat and set off on a journey along the Parnaíba River.
Visit Morro Branco, a region of dunes and river beach, on one of the delta's islands, Ilha Grande de Santa Izabel. Continue to Ilha dos Poldros, where you can see the meeting of the Parnaíba River with the Atlantic Ocean, and Ilha das Canárias, where you stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
During certain times of the year, stop at the village of Torto, where you can have lunch and try the delta's delicacies such as mangrove fruits and fish in the shade of cashew trees on the banks of the Parnaíba River.
During the journey, learn about the traditional crab-catching techniques, see other animals in the streams, and appreciate the beauty of the green mangroves and their immense roots, or the low-lying mangroves.
In the late afternoon, stop at the dunes of Morro do Meio with a 180-degree view of Caju Bay, and then enter the river to wait for the arrival of the Scarlet Ibis. Watch as they arrive in groups and perform an incredible ballet before landing.
At the end, contemplate the sunset and the return along the river at nightfall, seeing the stars during certain times of the year with good visibility.
