Expedition in which the consumers “dive’ into the underground of fortress Petrovaradin. You will hear the hearth beats of those close to you and you will touch the walls of one of the most beautiful master pieces of fortifications.

Ahead of us lie more than 33 kilometres of tunnels, of which only 900 metres are officially explored. A tangle of tunnels is shaped in four levels of defence with more than 8 floors of galleries one beneath the other. If you heard about the stories of dragon who is feasting with curious tourists and treasure hunters, about hidden nazi train, about the tunnel beneath the Danube river, about the tiger, and finally about the forbidden love of Maria Bruckner, and lot more you are at the right place, to explore them with us.

During this workshop you will get a brief course in history of the fortress, about its parts, fortification elements and names, about the counter-mining warfare, levels, floors and levels of defence, secret of numbered plates and military mapping used during the ages, signs and graffities, blind, communication and mine galleries.
Youll get a glimpse of the underground which was prepared for six garrisons of soldiers and youll see the daylight through on of the 1200 embrasures and ventilation holes. We’ll step into the hallways which were inaccessible for decades. By passing through all four levels of defence well arrive to the Kaiser well where the emperor of Holy Roman Empire Josef the 2nd drank water. Youll hear about the legends and youll have an opportunity to guide us through the tunnels at the head of our column. 1. MEETING – Meeting 10 minutes before the actual arranged time.
2. A WELLCOM GIFT - Association “3D World – UGRIP” prepared present for you, it is a unique map of the fortress and its tunnels which was a top secret for centuries.
3. GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER - We are getting known to each other and also with the fortress and its history, its elements, purposes and the counter-mine system.
4. THE PLAN of TOUR and THE TASK – We are developing the strategy, plan of the tour through the underground galleries, we are planning our time management a set few tasks that we have to do.
5. CHECKING – Final checking of lights, batteries and additional equipment is performed. The rules for the behaviour in the insides of the fortress are introduced.
6. START and “THE DIVE” – Now when the preparations are finished we are ready for the “dive” and we are going to the location of the entrance to the tunnels.
