Overview

Cruise the amazing Phang Nga Bay by traditional longtail boat on a full-day tour from Khao Lak. Discover the unique karst formations and green mangrove forests, and visit James Bond Island and Suwan Khuha Cave Temple.

Following pick-up from your hotel in Khao Lak, board a traditional longtail boat and experience the mangrove forests and karst formations from a different perspective. Get up close to the limestone rocks on a short canoe trip before heading to Khao Phing Kan.

Marvel at rock formations such as Tapu Island and James Bond Island, used as a film location in the film “The Man With The Golden Gun.” Continue to the floating Muslim village of Koh Panyi, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

Next, go to Suwan Khuha Cave Temple to see the statue of the reclining Golden Buddha. Get some time to feed the resident monkeys before the return trip to Khao Lak.

Phang Nga Bay lies between southern Thailand's mainland and Phuket Island. Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, it's characterised by limestone cliffs and rock formations, as well as mangrove forests and small islands. Among the islands are Koh Tapu, known as James Bond Island for its appearance in a Bond film. Koh Phanak Island is known for its caves and lagoons. The bay's waters are dotted with coral reefs.

Ko Panyi, also known as Koh Panyee, is a fishing village in Phang Nga Province, Thailand, notable for being built on stilts by Javanese fishermen. The population consists of about 360 families or 1,600 people descended from two seafaring Muslim families from Java Island, Indonesia.

Wat Suwan Kuha Temple – Special temple in a cave ( Suwankuha Temple ) , Located near Phang Nga town, the capital of Phang Nga province, is a very special and interesting temple called Wat Suwan Kuha. Wat Suwan Kuha Temple,( Suwankuha ) The locals call it Wat Tham, (which means the temple cave). The temple, built inside a cave has historical, theological and archaeological value and is a popular site amongst local people as well as tourists. The Wat Suwan Kuha Temple has been built inside a complex of caves with different names: Tham Meud, Tham Jaeng, Tham Kaew and Tham Yai and is a home to many statues, the biggest one of them is 15 metres long reclining Buddha.
