Operating schedule

We'll pick you up from your hotel in the morning to begin our trip outside the city. The tour to Piedras Rojas and the Altiplano Lagoons will take us through important tourist sites within the Atacama Desert. To reach Laguna Piedras Rojas, also known as Salar de Aguas Calientes, we'll drive up to an altitude of 3,800 metres and hike for 1 hour and 15 minutes to see these copper-colored rocks, as well as the surrounding lagoons and salt flats. Afterwards, we'll travel to the Miscanti and Miñiques Altiplano Lagoons, where our guide will explain the local flora and fauna. We'll also stop at Laguna Chaxa, where you can see flamingos. We'll then pass through Socaire and the Tropic of Capricorn, where we'll make a brief stop for photos. Finally, we'll return to San Pedro de Atacama to conclude our tour.
