Begin your journey at Piazza dei Cavalieri, the former political centre of Pisa. Admire the grand square, redesigned by Giorgio Vasari, showcasing the stunning sgraffito facade of the Palazzo della Carovana and the haunting Torre della Muda, famously mentioned in Dante’s Inferno. Dive into the bustling Piazza delle Vettovaglie, the “living room” of Pisa. Surrounded by elegant porticos, it is the perfect spot to experience local life.
Next, stroll down Borgo Stretto, a narrow medieval street lined with stone arches and boutique shops. The end of the tour is Piazza dei Miracoli. This UNESCO World Heritage site is home to the majestic Cattedrale di Pisa, the massive Battistero, and, of course, the Leaning Tower.
