What you can expect

Experience Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in one of Porto's most iconic neighbourhoods. Join one of our regular daily group classes at Jitsu Foz — a real training session with local students, not a tourist activity.

This 60-minute class is open to complete beginners. No fitness level or previous experience required. You'll be welcomed into the academy's daily schedule and train alongside the regular community, guided throughout by an experienced instructor.

Classes are led by brown belt instructor Paulo or by Hélio Fadda, a 5th degree black belt — one of the most experienced BJJ practitioners in Portugal.

BJJ is a ground-based martial art that uses leverage and technique rather than strength. It's practical, accessible, and one of the most effective self-defence systems in the world.

A gi (kimono) is provided. Water is included.
