Recognised internationally, it is a National Sanctuary designated by the Holy Apostolic See. As one of the main Catholic Marian shrines in the world, it attracts around six million visitors annually, making it a prominent religious tourism destination. He received visits from several Popes, including Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis, and was awarded three papal gold roses. One-way trip duration: 1 hour and 20 minutes
