What you can expect

Home to one of the most photographed beaches in all of Europe, the island of Brač is a destination that genuinely earns its reputation. Avangard Charter's Golden Horn & Brač private boat tour from Split takes you directly to Bol and the legendary Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat) - the distinctive golden shingle cape that stretches into the Adriatic and shifts shape with every tide and wind. You can explore Bol on foot, enjoy a wine tasting, and make your way to Golden Horn independently, or we can bring you near the beach by boat. On the way back, the tour passes by a Yugoslav-era military tunnel carved into the Brač coastline - a fascinating reminder of a very different time in this region's history. A swim stop follows, either near the tunnel or in a nearby bay, before we dock in the charming harbour town of Milna for lunch and a stroll. The day ends with a final swim at a secluded cove before returning to Split.

Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape or Golden Horn) is one of those places that genuinely lives up to the hype. The distinctive shingle cape shifts shape with the wind and tides, the water on both sides is clear and calm, and the setting - pine trees running almost to the shoreline, the open sea stretching south - is unlike anything else on the Croatian coast. Some guests prefer to walk there from Bol and explore at their own pace; others prefer to arrive by boat, which brings you right to the beach and skips the walk entirely. Both work well - your skipper will help you decide what makes most sense on the day. Between Bol and Milna, the coastline of Brač hides several lesser-known gems. Among them is a decommissioned Yugoslav military tunnel, an unexpected piece of 20th-century history cut directly into the rock above the sea. We pass by - or stop - depending on the group's interest, and there's typically a good swim spot in the vicinity in a calm and lightly visited cove. The tour includes paddleboards, swimming tubes, snorkelling gear, beach towels, a bottle of wine, soft drinks, water and snacks - everything you need for a great day on the water.

Milna is one of those harbour towns that hasn't been overrun by tourism - a genuine, working Dalmatian port with a handful of excellent restaurants, a beautiful Baroque church, and a relaxed pace of life. It's the ideal spot for a proper sit-down lunch with local wine and fresh catch of the day. After Milna, one final swimming stop in a cove on Brač or Šolta closes out the afternoon before the return to Split. This tour suits anyone who wants to experience Zlatni Rat combined with real island exploration, a piece of living history, and a relaxed harbour lunch. A full Brač experience, done right.
