Experience Cape Coast exactly like a local! Your adventure begins at Pedu Junction, where you'll hop into your private, decorated Pragya (Tuk-Tuk). Feel the Atlantic breeze as we navigate the vibrant township, a perspective most tourists miss from the windows of a bus.
Our first stops take us deep into the history of the Central Region. We will visit the 19th-century Military Cemetery and ascend to Fort William, where you'll get a panoramic view of the coastline. As we wind through the township, I will share stories of the Emintsimadze Palace and the historic Philip Quaque School, the first of its kind in West Africa.
The journey leads us to the doorstep of the Cape Coast Castle. We will leave our Pragya behind for a professional guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site, reflecting on its profound history. Finally, we will gather at the famous Lemon Lounge Restaurant. Here, you’ll enjoy the “Ghana's Special”: a delicious plate of Jollof Rice paired with grilled chicken or fish and spicy, sweet Kelewele (fried plantains). It’s the perfect, flavourful end to a morning of discovery and Ghanaian hospitality.
