We will navigate through the Volcanoes Avenue NO TOURIST WAY. Machachi town is the best introduction to the cowboys (Chagras) heritage in Ecuador. Potatoes, vegetables, fruits, cattle farms and Terrific views are part of this amazing landscape around to the Cotopaxi National Park.

A break in our driving will necessary in a local Hacienda, El Porvenir by Tierra del Volcán. This is a beautiful local Hacienda carefully decorated with special hand-made crafts and local textiles of the area. Charming courners with wood fireplaces. You will feel that the time is not rush in this place. Hacienda's people are so friendly. They will share a piece of their traditions with a hot coctel (Canelazo) Traditional in the Andes Mountains.

We will drive for 20 minutes extra and will get in to the north entrance to the Cotopaxi National Park. There is a tiny local store with souvenirs and local textiles if you want to bring a gift from the Cotopaxi Nationak Park. Regarding our itinerary, we will drive 35 minutes to get to the car park. Our hiking activity will begin there. An elevation gain from 14763ft to 15958ft to get to the José Ribas high camp and have the best view of the Andes. This is a demanding hike but taking a slow pase, we can do it. All our guides are so patient. Water, sweets and some stops to breathe are the trick to get there. Just in case you don’t want to try it, there is another option for hiking in the Limpiopungo Lagoon at 12800ft. It is a flat and easy going trail. We can hike the loop of the Lagoon. 1.15 hours. This is beautiful spot for Birdwatching and see a lot of flora of the area. If you don't like hikes, no worries. We know great spots to take wonderful photos and save beautiful memories.

Our Private Cotopaxi Volcano Haciendas Gentle hikes NON-TOURISTY WAY Tour provides a safe and fresh lunch in a local restaurant. Because food is very important to complete the experience, we have selected a great local restaurant with a tasting food with local gastronomy of the area.
