What you can expect

Itineraary:
Hotel pick up ( Recommended starting time: 8:30am as there are closing times for all the tourist spots)
Firstly, tour the Temple of Heaven, which was built by the emperor of Ming dynasty in 1420, served as an imperial temple for emperors to hold important ceremonies to play their holy role.

We will see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the most advanced high-tech architecture back in the feudal time. A triple-layer roof temple decorated with shinning blue tiles representing the Heaven.

After the Temple of Heaven, we will drive to the Forbidden City

Start to explore the Forbidden City, which was the home for 24 emperors from 1420 to 1924. It was built by Emperor Zhudi of Ming Dynasty. The last emperor Puyi of Qing dynasty’s was expelled from the Forbidden City by the warlord in 1924. In the Forbidden City, we will tour the Forbidden City along the central axis of it which is called the emperor’s way, all of the most important and highest ranking buildings were built on it.

Enter the Forbidden City from the Meridian Gate ( formal entrance of the Forbidden City)

We will tour the political centre in the south: 4 main places to see which are the Gate of Supreme Harmony for daily court, Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Middle Harmony and Hall of Preserving Harmony they three together for holding ceremonies.

After the political centre, we will walk northward to tour the harem of the emperor to see the Palace of Heavenly Purity which the office of emperor, Hall of Union and Palace of Earthly Tranquility for the empress.

We will end the Forbidden City from the beautiful imperial garden decorated with unique rockeries, beautiful flowers and trees, different kinds of fancy pavilions and Taoism temples.

After the Forbidden City, we will drive to a nice local dumpling restaurant or Beijing traditional noodles.

Lunch costs are at your own expense.(Your guide will recommend a nice local restaurant for you)

After lunch, we will drive to our last stop, the Summer Palace,
the Summer Palace, which is most beautiful imperial garden in China. It was built by Qing emperor Qianlong for his mother as a birthday gift. It was plundered and burned twice, in 1860 and 1900. Dragon Lady Cixi rebuilt it in 1902, she spent most of her time there until she died. It was a wonderland for her, but a prison for the emperor.

We will see all the highlights in the Summer Palace, political centre which is the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity.Hall of Happiness and Longevity which is the living quarter for Dowager Dragon Lady Cixi, the long corridor and the Kunming lake in the garden, we will end the Summer Palace from the prison of the Emperor Guang Xu.

In the end, drive you back to your hotel or some restaurant you want to go for dinner.
