We will visit Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a church built right into the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. On the sides and in the front, Sedona sprawls out majestically, a sweeping landscape of red rocks, trees, and nestled houses. Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte are visible to the south, and Cathedral Rock to the west. We will grab a bite to eat, and then we will head to the Grand Canyon!

Driving time from Phoenix to Sedona is 2 hours.

We will have a delicious lunch in Sedona at a local restaurant overlooking the gorgeous Red Rocks and Oack Creek Canyon! You can expect lunch to run around $10-20.

Stop At: Oak Creek Canyon, Route 89A, Sedona, AZ 83149

Oak Creek Canyon is famous the world around for its spectacular scenery.

We will stop at Oak Creek Canyon Vista. Here you can get a bird's eye view of what awaits you down the road and, at the same time, shop for Native American jewellery and other craft items from the local Native American artists who set up displays along the pathways.

Stop At: Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history. Viewpoints include Mather Point, Yavapai Observation Station and architect Mary Colter’s Lookout Studio and her Desert View Watchtower. Lipan Point, with wide views of the canyon and Colorado River, is a popular, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Driving time from Sedona to the Grand Canyon is 2.5 hours. Driving time from the Grand Canyon back to Phoenix is 3.5 hours.

We will have two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way to the Grand Canyon and two 15 minute bathroom breaks on the way back to Phoenix for a total time of 60 minutes for the 4 breaks.
