Moray was possibly an Inca agricultural research centre where cultivation experiments were carried out at different heights, the arrangement of its platforms produces a gradient of microclimates with the centre of the concentric circular platforms having a higher temperature and gradually reducing towards the outside. lower temperatures, thus being able to simulate up to 20 different types of microclimates. It is believed that Moray could have served as a model for the calculation of agricultural production not only in the Urubamba Valley but also in different parts of the Tahuantinsuyo. Salinas de Maras

The Salineras de Maras are located 3,000 metres above sea level and approximately 1 hour and a half from the city of Cusco. These are salt mines and their exploitation is as old as the Tahuantinsuyo. Located on the hillside, the salt mines, in the form of terraces or platforms, are filled by underground water that runs down the ravine. The origin of the source of it is still a mystery.

The Laguna de Huaypo is a beautiful lagoon with crystal clear waters, located in the provinces of Urubamba and Anta. It is located one hour from the city of Cusco, this beautiful lagoon is home to a great variety of fish and birds, it is the habitat of trout and silverside, which are cared for and raised by the inhabitants as their main economic sustenance. The best time to visit the lagoon is after the rainy season, starting in April, when the landscape is green and the lagoon an intense blue.
