Discover the highlights of Kutaisi and its surroundings on a 3-day tour. Explore the city of Kutaisi, visit the Gelati Monastery, and see the Prometheus Cave. Take a boat ride in the cave, walk along a pendant road in the Okatse Canyon, and see the Kinchkha Waterfall.
Day 1: Kutaisi
Start your tour with a meeting in the city of Kutaisi and accommodation in a guesthouse. Visit the Gelati Monastery, an outstanding monument of Georgian architecture, founded by King David the Builder at the beginning of the 12th century. See the tomb of David Aghmashenebeli, which is called a second Holy Land of Israel.
Next, go to the Motsameta Monastery, a land of martyrs. After that, go to the city of Kutaisi, where you will visit the restored Cathedral, the majestic temple of Bagrati, built in the 11th century in honour of the Assumption of Mary.
In the evening, take a walk through the city of Kutaisi, which will leave a lasting impression. Return to the hotel for free time and overnight.
Day 2: Surroundings of Kutaisi
After breakfast in the guesthouse, continue towards the Tskaltubo spa resort, where you will visit the Prometheus Cave, a tourist route which is 1400 metres long. Take a boat ride on the river inside the cave.
Next, visit the Okatse Canyon, whose depth is about 100 metres. Walk along a 750-meter metal pendant road, at an altitude of almost 100 metres above the canyon, and end at a 20-meter viewing platform.
End the tour in the village of Kinchha, where you will see the beautiful 92-meter-high Kinchkha Waterfall. Return to the guesthouse for free time and overnight.
Day 3: Kutaisi
Enjoy breakfast in the guesthouse before being transferred back to the airport in Kutaisi or dropped off in the city area.
