Start the day at your London residence and we take the route Churchill himself took when escaping the hubbub of Westminster to the Garden of England in Kent The scenery shifts into the rolling, green hills which provided perfect sanctuary for Churchill & his family. Chartwell was purchased by Churchill in Sep 1922 and was his absolute haven until his death in 1965. It acts as a perfect mid-20th-time capsule museum. Tour The Wilderness Years HQ in the 1930s, when Churchill was politically exiled and warned parliament about the rise of Nazi Germany. The Study which remains exactly as he left it. You stand just feet from his desk—complete with a cigar resting in his ashtray! Secretaries' Office Restored to its exact 1950s layout a hive of activity. Garden Studio which Churchill famously said was his “joy ride in a paintbox” Stroll through the Rose Garden walled garden & kitchen gardens. You can view the extensive brick walls that Churchills laid himself and look out for Jock ginger Cat!
