It was excavated in the rock by a Carmelite monk in the second half of the 17th century. In it is the image of the Virgin of the Rock, patron saint of Mijas, which according to legend was discovered in 1586 by two shepherd children who were guided to the place by a pigeon.

It is the main square of the village, area surrounded by shops and bars. Also in the square is the oldest fountain in the village.

It was built at the request of a group of neighbors in the year 1900. The bullring of Mijas is nestled on the rock. Its access door keeps the landscape print like a typical white house. Its most interesting peculiarity consists of its oval shape, one of the few that exist in Spain.

The present church began construction in the second half of the 16th century and was completed in mid-1631. It has been written that this place was the ancient Muslim mosque that after being consecrated served as a Christian church.

a viewpoint on the south side of the village near the Immaculate Conception Church and the Mijas Bullring. It is built on the remains of ancient walls originally designed to protect the city.

Entering the House Museum is taking a walk through the ethnographic and historical past of this town, we have intended that the traveller navigate the countryside and the Sierra Mijeña, which smells like rosemary and thyme, that he knows the secrets of the elaboration of the lime that gives colour and protection to the houses of this town, that he knows the utilities of esparto, the qualities of his honey, the importance of his marble quarries since Roman times, that he touches the tools with which the ancestors tilled this land by force of sweat and in exchange for very little, that he discovers the perfection of the ancient machinery used for the elaboration of wine and oil, in short, that he feels another mijaño in his journey through this land, that is the wish, perhaps inherited from a town that centuries ago, before the invention of tourism, walked for these payments.
