What you can expect

We will meet in Vigo´s cruise port, hotel or place of choice in Vigo. Upon arrival, our driver will enter us in the heart of Oporto. More specifically on Avenida dos Aliados. This is the point that separates the two sides of the city.

We will walk the Praça da Liberdade until we reach the Fortified Cathedral, a beautiful baroque style building dating from the 12th century, there your guide will tell you the history of the cathedral and then return to the Roman and Fernandina wall, which is not complete, but its greatnesscan be glimpsed in the parts that are still standing.

Three iconic places on this walk are the Castle and the Church of the Crickets, places with an impressive medieval aura; and of course, the University of Oporto, a building that is said to have inspired the magical Hogwarts of the Harry Potter universe.

To close the walk through the old part, we will visit the Palacio de la Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace), which today houses the Commercial Association of the city, and which is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Oporto.

Finally, we'll arrive at Ribeira, right on the banks of the Duero River, where we will have the opportunity to taste a delicious typical Portuguese dish and savour the famous Oporto wine. We will also make the traditional shopping for souvenirs and then head towards the most famous bridges of the place, such as: The Don Luis I Bridge and the María Pia Bridge. We will also take a tour of the San Bento train station, famous for its more than 20 thousand tiles that tell the storey of Portugal.
