Guided by your knowledgeable companion, you will wander through its core areas, following a thoughtfully designed route to experience its most iconic spots. This includes three key imperial halls, each serving distinct purposes: hosting grand royal ceremonies, providing a quiet space for emperors to prepare before rituals, and holding imperial examinations.

After exploring the outer court, where state affairs were once conducted, you will move on to the inner court—a private realm that was home to emperors, their empresses, concubines, and court eunuchs. Your guide will share engaging tales of imperial life, bringing the history of this grand palace to life.

Following our time at the Forbidden City, we head to the Summer Palace, a world-famous imperial garden often hailed as the "Garden of Gardens" and another UNESCO World Heritage Site with a history spanning over two millennia. Initially constructed as a royal getaway, it was later expanded and renovated under the order of Empress Dowager Cixi, who invested heavily in its beauty.

Accompanied by your guide, you will visit the main halls where the empress dowager managed state affairs in her later years, as well as her private quarters, offering a glimpse into her influence and daily life during the late Qing Dynasty. You will also take a leisurely walk along the Long Corridor—the longest covered corridor globally, stretching 728 metres and decorated with more than 14,000 vibrant paintings. Later, you will take in the serene beauty of Kunming Lake, where calm waters mirror the surrounding pavilions and hills, before concluding your visit at the Marble Boat—a unique structure built to symbolise the enduring stability of the Qing Dynasty, with an intriguing backstory shared by your guide.

In the afternoon, we travel to Juyongguan Great Wall, a less crowded section that boasts a peaceful yet majestic ambiance, with well-preserved ancient architecture and stunning mountain vistas. As one of the most important passes along the Great Wall in ancient times, it was once known as the "First Pass Under Heaven" and played a vital role in defending China’s northern border during the Ming Dynasty. Your guide will walk alongside you as you explore the wall, explaining its historical importance, military functions, and unique architectural features. You will have plenty of free time to explore at your own rhythm—climb as far as you wish, capture photos against the breathtaking mountain backdrop, and immerse yourself in the grandeur of this world-renowned historical site.
