These excursions have a duration of 3 hours. The difficulty level of this excursion is minimal. The only requirement for the passenger will be to have the necessary mobility to get into the 4x4 vehicle, which is a little higher than a conventional vehicle. Then, if the passenger needs it, they can stay inside the vehicle during the excursion, or else get out at the scenic viewpoints to explore the place, take pictures, and enjoy the landscape.
The intention of this tour is to give tourists the chance to have a completely different, highly personalised experience, with the purpose of letting them get to know some beaches and areas of Puerto Madryn that only the people who live here know about, but which tourists don't have the opportunity to access.
We will pick up the passengers at their accommodation. Then we begin to travel along the city's waterfront, touring the resort area and emphasising the explanation of the city's tourist seasons to the passengers, and telling them how the resorts operate with all the activity options they offer.
Next, we begin to travel through the area of Punta Cuevas or Curva del Indio, where there is a brief explanation of the arrival of the Welsh settlers to the area.
Continuing with the excursion, we take the Inter Balnearia route that leads us to the Punta Loma Reserve, making 3 key stops so that passengers can enjoy a unique view, take photographs, and appreciate the variety of landscapes. The first stop will be around the sand dunes, so we can appreciate the area.
After this, we will visit the Punta Este area, making two strategic stops so that people can enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes on the tour. They'll be able to see hidden beaches and crystal-clear waters and recognise a large part of the intertidal zone, so we can explain the main characteristics of these intertidal ecosystems.
Continuing the tour, we'll stop next to the Paraná Beach beacon to enjoy the view of the sunken ship Folias and the Paraná Beach area, making a stop so that tourists can get to know the area.
We will then enter the Punta Loma Reserve so that passengers can hike the Flora Trail and then observe the sea lions.
Finally, we will arrive at the Cerro Avanzado area, where we will approach the middle of the hill to observe the sedimentation layers. There, we will give a talk on the specific geology of the area.
To end the excursion, we will go to the Cerro Avanzado beach, where we will provide passengers with an herbal tea in our reusable plastic cups, with a message related to the theme that says “one less cup in the oceans”, along with a snack to eat.
