The excursion begins with transfers from hotels or meeting points to the main port. Transfers take place 15–20 minutes before the excursion is due to depart.
Day 1: Uros Islands and Amantaní
Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a boat ride to the Uros floating islands, built from totora reeds by an ancient community that lives on the water. Learn about their history, their homes, and their traditional way of life for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Then, after a boat ride of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, you will arrive on the magical island of Amantani, where you will be welcomed by a local family with whom you will share an authentic experience. Enjoy a typical lunch, climb to the Pachatata or Pachamama viewpoint to watch the sunset over the lake, and take part in a cultural evening featuring traditional music and dance.
Day 2: Taquile
After breakfast in Amantani, at 7:30 a.m., you will head to Taquile Island, famous for its community organisation and its UNESCO-recognized textiles. Wander its trails, enjoy a local lunch overlooking the lake, and learn about the islanders' customs. Finally, you will arrive in Puno at 3:00–3:30 PM, where your transfer bus will be waiting for you.
