Starting from the Alcantara Gorges, continue along dirt roads and nature trails towards Castiglione di Sicilia, a renowned wine town that offers breathtaking views of the valley. The route continues towards Linguaglossa, crossing paths from which you can admire the most distant craters of the Etna system with a breathtaking panorama through the tunnels built at the beginning of the 20th century. You continue through numerous eruptions that occurred at different times in the history of Etna to reach the Corruccio cave, one of the many caves on this side, and then to Piano Provenzana, at an altitude of 1,850 m on the 2002 lava flow, where you can make a technical stop. During the descent, it will be possible to cross the picturesque vineyards of Mount Etna and then return through the Alcantara Valley. At the end of the tour, you will be directed to one of the restaurants in the area a few minutes away, where you can enjoy a typical traditional Sicilian lunch.
