What you can expect

  • The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (National Fine Arts Museum) is located in the Plains of Abraham in Québec's Battlefield's Park. It is the only museum entirely dedicated to Québec art including an exhibition on Inuit art.

    The urban park in which the museum if located is one of the most marvellous in the world. With 108 hectares of plains, wooded areas and gardens it is a green oasis in the heart of the city.

    The museum complex is made up of four buildings: the Pierre Lassonde Pavilion, the new Espace Riopelle — Michael Audain Pavilion, the Gérard Morisset Pavilion and the Charles Baillairgé Pavilion.

    The national collection includes: Inuit Art, Decorative Arts and Design in Québec, Contemporary Art in Québec, Modern Art in Québec, Riopelle. The Expression of Gesture and Tribute to Rosa Luxemburg.

    Blockbuster exhibition: HYPERREALISM: THIS IS NOT A BODY
    February 26, 2026 - March 7, 2027
    Bringing together over 30 sculptures by 25 international artists, Hyperrealism: This Is Not a Body shows the evolution of the human figure in sculpture since the 1970s. This touring exhibition, which began in 2016 at the Museo de Bellas Artes in Bilbao, Spain, and has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, has also been shown in Monterrey, Taipei, Brussels, Paris, Rome, and Osaka, among others.
