What you can expect

  • Discover the highlights of Iceland’s famous Golden Circle on this comfortable small-group tour from Reykjavik, designed for a more personal and enjoyable experience. Travelling with fewer people means more time at each location, more interaction with your guide, and a relaxed pace throughout the day. As you leave the city, the landscape quickly changes to wide valleys, lava fields, and peaceful countryside while your guide shares fascinating stories about Iceland’s history, nature, and culture.

The journey begins at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. You will also see the beautiful Öxarárfoss waterfall, hidden among dramatic cliffs and lava rock. The adventure continues through the countryside with a stop at Efstidalur II, a charming family-run farm where you can take a short break and enjoy a glimpse of Icelandic rural life before heading to the geothermal wonders of the region.

At the Geysir geothermal area, watch the famous Strokkur geyser erupt every few minutes, sending hot water high into the air. Soon after, you will visit the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s most breathtaking natural sights, where glacial water crashes into a deep canyon and sometimes creates beautiful rainbows in the mist. The tour also includes a unique stop at Friðheimar Tomato Farm, where you will see how fresh tomatoes are grown year-round inside warm greenhouses despite Iceland’s cold climate.

Before returning to Reykjavik, you will explore the colourful Kerið Crater Lake, a striking volcanic crater with red rock slopes and a bright blue lake at the bottom. To enjoy the day fully, we recommend bringing warm layers, waterproof clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and your camera to capture the incredible landscapes. Most importantly, bring your curiosity and excitement for a wonderful day discovering the natural beauty of Iceland’s Golden Circle.

Activity is conducted in English every day and in Spanish on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays except in summers, when it is conducted daily.
