Step into the world of Icelandic stories on this immersive Reykjavik Literature Walking Tour. From Viking sagas and medieval folklore to Nobel Prize–winning authors and modern voices, this guided walk brings Iceland’s rich literary heritage to life through the streets where it was shaped.

Iceland has more writers per capita than any other country, and Reykjavik is at the heart of that tradition. As you explore the city on foot, your guide shares stories of poets, novelists, rebels, and dreamers, weaving literature together with history, mythology, and everyday Icelandic life.

Rather than a fixed script, this tour is story-driven and flexible. Your guide adapts the walk to the group, choosing tales, poems, and authors that best suit the moment. Expect a warm, engaging experience filled with hidden corners, well-known landmarks, and stories you won’t find in guidebooks.
