The K2 climbing route on Corcovado is among the 50 classic routes in Brazil and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful routes in Rio de Janeiro.
Our experience begins at the meeting point at the Paineiras Visitor Centre located within Tijuca National Park. You can get here by public or private transport, which can be a van, cable car, taxi, or Uber. Our staff will assist you in choosing the best transport.
From the meeting point, we will start the hike along the Corcovado road to the access hiking tour to the start of the climb, which takes around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at the start of the climb, our guides will give the gear and safety instructions.
The climbing route is 150 metres long and will be divided into 6 sections. Starting with a dihedral, passing through sections that require grip and holds, making it a very varied climb.
As you climb, the scenery unfolds, with Sugarloaf Mountain, Two Brothers, and the sea of the South Zone – a true picture postcard at every stop.
After the last climbing section, we go up a short hiking tour until we reach the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statue, where you celebrate with a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro.
Our descent to the meeting point will be by van.
A complete, safe, and unforgettable adventure. Perfect for those who already climb and want to experience climbing Corcovado in an exclusive, unconventional way.
