We offer a complete experience on Pedra Bonita, one of the most beautiful and accessible trails in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a visit to a secluded, idyllic beach. Ideal for those who want to explore nature, admire incredible landscapes, and experience the Carioca lifestyle in a laid-back and authentic way.
What will we do?
We will meet at a pre-arranged location and make our way to the start of the trail. The hike takes approximately 25 to 35 minutes, passing through sections of Atlantic rainforest to the summit of Pedra Bonita.
Once we reach the summit at 696 metres (2,283 feet), we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Rio de Janeiro, overlooking the ocean, beaches, mountains, and green areas. At this point, we will take breaks for contemplation, photos, and, for those who wish, a short guided meditation session to soak up the energy and tranquility of the location. We will also share a small picnic.
After the descent, we will head to a special, hidden beach located within a luxury residential complex, frequented by a young and trendy crowd. On the beach, you can play or watch a game of altinha, a traditional beach pastime among Rio de Janeiro locals, go for a swim, soak up the sun, and enjoy the beach if the waves and tide allow; otherwise, we will admire the natural beauty of the rocks.
Depending on weather conditions and subject to prior arrangement, there is the option of combining the experience with a hang gliding flight (hike and fly), making the tour even more special.
About the trek
This hike is recommended for people with little or no trekking experience, as it does not require a high level of physical fitness. It is an excellent option for those who want to enjoy nature and one of the most beautiful views of Rio de Janeiro without excessive exertion.
Along the way, it is common to spot wild animals such as toucans, monkeys, and various bird species, making the experience even more enriching for nature lovers.
Instructions:
We recommend that you arrive well-rested, have eaten a good meal, and are in the right mood to enjoy the hike. Wear light clothing, comfortable walking shoes, and sun cream, and bring water. It is also advisable to bring a towel and swimwear for the beach section of the tour.
