The Erasmus Bridge is the most famous symbol of modern Rotterdam and connects the city centre with the Kop van Zuid. Opened in 1996, the bridge—thanks to its elegant design—quickly became the definitive icon of the Rotterdam skyline.

Euromast

The tower was built for the 1960 Floriade and designed by architect Hugh Maaskant. Originally 101 metres tall, the rotating Euroscoop was added in 1970, allowing visitors to ascend to a height of 185 metres.
