Did you know that Catalonia has its own rumba? Although rumba is one of the branches of flamenco, in Barcelona it has its own history.

We connect you with a typical Spanish dance style but adapted to the roots and influences of this city! In this experience you will not only learn about the origins of the Catalan rumba and the Raval area, but we will end up in an authentic flamenco tavern learning to dance and tasting typical tapas of our country.

Learn the basic steps of the rumba, learn the typical beats to play the palmas, enjoy a place where the locals go to dance. Taste the famous “rebujito” and enjoy a small flamenco performance, all in one complete experience!

Activity itinerary

First we will do a one hour walking tour to learn about the origins of the Catalan rumba and its history until now. Then we will go to a typical flamenco tavern to learn the basic steps of rumba and flamenco clapping. After dancing and to regain strength, we will have a tasting of classic Spanish tapas.
