The hike begins at the picturesque harbour of La Madrague, a small haven of peace nestled between hills and the Mediterranean.
From the very first steps, you are immersed in the Provençal atmosphere, with the sea as your backdrop.
You then leave the coast to continue the route through the garrigue, where the scents of pine, thyme, and rosemary accompany your gradual ascent.
Once at the top of the sand dune, an exceptional geological formation that is several thousand years old, you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the bay of Saint-Cyr and the Bec de l'Aigle of La Ciotat. Your live guide will explain how this dune has formed over the years.
A break is planned at the top to take in the view, understand this unique landscape shaped by time, and of course take all the souvenir photos you want!
On the way back, you'll take a path through the heart of the vineyards: here, your live guide will reveal the local wine history, the grape varieties grown, and the importance of the terroir in the identity of Saint-Cyr.
This hike is of moderate+ difficulty (3.6 km. 170 m elevation gain. Expect a good climb!) and combines nature, heritage, and knowledge for an authentic experience between land and sea.
Our four-legged friends are welcome, as long as they are on a leash!
