What you can expect

  • Accompanied by our tour guide, we will explore the monuments and traditions of this delightful seaside city, which has always been an important trading hub. We will start from the Maritime Station, a masterpiece by the star architect Zaha Hadid, and cross Piazza della Libertà, from which you can enjoy a general overview of the entire city: from the beautiful waterfront to Arechi Castle and the elegant 20th-century buildings overlooking the sea. We will wander through the narrow streets of the medieval city in the historic old town to discover the secrets of the city, famous for the Salerno School of Medicine.
    We will continue to San Pietro a Corte, the palace of Arechis II, Lombard prince, and, passing along Via dei Mercanti, we will arrive at the Cathedral, a very important Romanesque monument, with its beautiful atrium, its exquisite pulpits and its magnificent crypt dedicated to the Apostle and Evangelist Saint Matthew.
