We'll visit the Quebrada de Macul Natural Park and venture into the mountains through the Quebrada de Macul.
We'll try to reach the San Juan Waterfall, which is at the bottom of the gorge.
We'll make frequent stops to observe aspects of the flora, fauna, and geology of the place. You'll get to know the nature of the foothills of the Andes in central Chile.
You'll be able to spot different species of birds, and even, if you're lucky, one of the condors that sometimes fly over the gorge.
I'll teach you about the various plant species in the area, as well as their traditional uses.
Once we reach our destination, we'll have a light snack, and then we'll head back.
Before we wrap up, we'll take a detour into a forest of native trees, along the banks of the Macul Estuary.
We'll head back by vehicle to the meeting point at Quilín Metro Station, on line 4 of the Santiago Metro.
This is an immersive experience in Chilean nature that will probably amaze you, both for the variety of things to see and learn, and for how close it is to Santiago.
