What you can expect

  • Meet your guide in Santiago de Compostela and set off towards the dramatic Atlantic coast of Galicia, with stops in Muxía and Cape Finisterre.

Begin your journey in Muxía, where you’ll walk the final stretch of this route of the Camino de Santiago to reach its km 0. Discover the impressive Baroque Sanctuary of A Virxe da Barca, dramatically set between the sea and the rocks. This sacred site is surrounded by ancient legends and mystical stones, while the Atlantic waves crash against the rugged coastline.

Take a moment to breathe in the fresh Atlantic air, admire the wild coastal landscape, and capture some unforgettable photos. Your guide will share the stories and legends surrounding the sanctuary and its sacred stones, bringing this unique place to life.

Continue to Cape Finisterre, known since ancient times as the “End of the World.” For the Romans and Greeks, this was where the known world came to an end, while Celtic traditions associated the area with the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. Visit the famous km 0 marker of the Camino de Santiago to Finisterre and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding estuary.

Then, head to the fishing village of Fisterra for a well-deserved lunch break. Enjoy free time to taste Galicia’s renowned seafood and local cuisine, stroll through the harbour, and soak up the authentic atmosphere of this traditional fishing village.

After a day of Atlantic landscapes, ancient legends, Camino traditions, and Galician culture, relax on the journey back to Santiago de Compostela, arriving at approximately 5:30 PM.
