After being collected by your guide from your hotel in Praia, airport or at the cruise port, head into the interior of the island of Santiago.

Drive for around 1 hour to the starting point of the hike at the Serra Malagueta National Park.
Begin your hike from 700 metres above sea level. Throughout the walk, take in stunning views of the green valley and small traditional houses. Admire an arrangement of vegetable and fruit trees such as mango, cassava, banana, sugar cane, and sweet potato.

Arrive at the locality of Mato Dento, there meet locals and experience the rural lifestyle. At the end of the route, pass by the Principal Dam built to help local families in irrigated agriculture.

Get the opportunity to have lunch at a simple local traditional restaurant.

You’ll then travel along the island’s east coast, past rocks, volcanic lava and fishing villages.

Next, you’ll visit Santiago’s largest banana and coconut plantation.

Finally, drive back to Praia and the tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation, airport or at the cruise.
