Overview

The island has an area of 110 square km and is home to around 1,200 people. His main occupation is fishing and tourism. It is a protected space, so construction has not been allowed for years.

Its beaches are quiet, with white sand and surrounded by palm trees and coconut trees. The Island is rocky, it has caverns and grottoes that hide archaeological sites from the time of the Taíno.

Defined by its visitors as “a must if you travel to the Dominican Republic”, Saona Island is famous for its virgin beaches, its history, its landscapes and its seabed. In addition, it has: very authentic fishing villages; caves that date back to the time of the Taínos; and it is the most important turtle nesting site in the country.

Embark on an unforgettable experience on sunny Saône Island aboard our catamaran cruise.We begin the tour by picking you up at your accommodation in Punta Cana, where we have comfort and air conditioning during the 1hy 20 minute journey to our luxurious catamaran. Relax and get ready to discover the beauty of the island on this exclusive cruise. Set sail, sailing through blue waters to the island’s unspoilt shores. Stay hydrated during the day with refreshments and enjoy our cocktails , we will have a 45 min stop at the beautiful Natural Pool, where crystal clear waters and starfish await you. When you arrive at Saône Island, enjoy almost 3 hours of free time. Soak up the sun on the white sands or bring your snorkelling gear to immerse yourself in coral reef. Restock with a delicious buffet lunch served at 13:00. After dark, we will enjoy the catamaran back to Bayahibe with music and dance and finally, we will take you back to your hotel, concluding an incredible day full of relaxation, party and fun.
