What you can expect

  • We start on the forecourt of the Landestheater in Innsbruck, then continue along the Inn River towards the Hungerburgbahn funicular. Return via the Saggen district, past the stately villas of Innsbruck, to the Market Square. From there, you head west again, along the Inn River to the turn-off for the Wilten Basilica. From there, you'll head up to the valley station of the Bergisel lift. Just a few more steps and we'll be at the “SKY” restaurant on the Bergisel. There, we'll enjoy brunch to our heart's content with coffee, tea, and fresh bread and pastries. On the walking tour, we can see the impressive landscape, starting from Innsbruck and taking in the Upper and Lower Inn Valleys, as well as the Stubai Valley and the Wipp Valley. The view down over the ski jumpers' in-run is truly awe-inspiring. After brunch, we will take the lift – or, for more athletic participants, the stairs – back down to the valley station. Once there, we'll head back towards the city of Innsbruck on the Segways. We will cross Amraser Straße, ride through Wiltener Platzl and on to the Triumphal Arch. The south side of the Triumphal Arch commemorates the marriage of Archduke Leopold to Princess Maria Ludovica on August 5, 1765, while the north side commemorates the death of Emperor Francis Stephen I, who died shortly after the wedding. We continue through the city centre of Innsbruck until we arrive back at the forecourt of the State Theatre.
