Activity itinerary

Grad Castle (Pass by)

In the heart of Goričko Landscape Park stands the largest castle in Slovenia, which, according to legend, has as many as 365 rooms – one for every day of the year. More than 800 years old, the castle was built on volcanic basalt tuff and today houses the Goričko Landscape Park administration, museum collections, exhibitions, and craft workshops. A stroll through the castle courtyard and park takes visitors on a journey through the rich history of this unique castle complex. Entrance fee is at the traveler's discretion.

Triple Border Stone

  • 15m
At the tripoint, the borders of Slovenia, Austria, and Hungary meet. This symbolic location represents the meeting point of three countries, cultures, and languages and is a popular destination for cyclists, who can visit three countries in a single day. The experience is complemented by beautiful views of Goričko’s rolling hills.

Sotinski breg

  • 15m
At 418 metres above sea level, Sotinski Breg is the highest point in Prekmurje. In addition to its beautiful views, it also reveals one of Slovenia’s oldest geological stories – the rocks in this area are approximately 500 million years old. Thanks to its natural significance and rich geological heritage, it is a popular destination for nature lovers and those seeking scenic views.

Nuskova

  • 15m
Just a few steps from the road, a natural mineral water spring emerges, its origins linked to Goričko’s volcanic past. The water is rich in iron, which gives it a distinctive taste and stains the area around the spring reddish. Locals have long used it as drinking water, and visitors can taste it free of charge directly from the spring.

Ledavsko jezero

  • 15m
Lake Ledava is the largest lake in Goričko and a popular destination for nature lovers. It was created in the 1970s as a reservoir on the Ledava River and is now an important Natura 2000 site. Its reed beds and wetlands provide a habitat for numerous bird species, including greylag geese, black terns, and kingfishers, making the lake a true paradise for birdwatchers and nature photographers.
