Best of tour: Changing of the guard at the Royal Palace. We nearly missed this as our guide thought it would not happen as it was a dull day and had rained earlier. Transport arrangements from our accommodation and back to City Hall were excellent.

Everything went well except tour guide may want to gather us all together and start talking and make sure the group is all together

Cindy was our tour guide and she was great. She answered all my inquiries and kept us on schedule (which i love!) i would highly recommend that they eliminate the “tea tasting” as part of this tour because it was more of a sales push to buy red ginseng tea. a more local tea shop or antique alley would be more attractive than the ginseng tea “tour”. i was very pleased by the vehicle (modern, temperature controlled, cleaned between each stop), the guide cindy was great, and the places we visited were worth seeing (with the exception of the ginseng sales pitch) Thanks for my half day tour in seoul!

Soo-Young and Andy were the absolute best and went above and beyond to help make our tour experience memorable. We are not in the Seoul area so we were unfamiliar with the streets. Soo-Young actually tracked us to exactly where we were based on photographs I sent to her even though with us being lost we were about 15 minutes past the time for the tour to start.. We were traveling with two toddlers, a baby and a gigantic folding wagon and Andy was very helpful and accommodating in getting that huge thing into and out of the van. The tour itself was fantastic. It was fun and informative. Soo Young was very charming and charismatic. Her English was impeccable! She did not hesitate to answer my many many questions. We even joked because my phone was still sending her pictures after the tour started. I enjoyed the palace tour. We made it just in time to watch the changing of the guard. My favourite stop was the Buddhist temple. We burned incense and made wishes to Buddha. The courtyard was so beautiful with bright flowers and so relaxing even though there were lots of people strolling the grounds. There was a ceremony happening so we couldn’t go in so I took photos of the three golden Buddhas from outside with camera zoom. Also I learned that Soo-Young and I have the same astrological sign, the Horse. Only thing I did not care too much for was the ginseng building tour. The product was way too costly for us and the sales pitch felt gimmicky and like an infomercial. If there were cheaper purchase options maybe I would buy but not at such costs. Still I did learn a lot about ginseng and there were ships and other items carved out of ginseng roots on display in the center’s lobby which was actually pretty cool to look at. I highly recommend the tour. Thank you Soo-Young and Andy! Best tour guide and driver ever!
