Korea has a long history of 5,000 years and has experienced many wars.
That's why we built the War Memorial, where we display stories and artefacts from various wars.
When you arrive at the War Memorial, you'll see the “Statue of Brothers” first, symbolising the sadness of the Korean War.
Inside the memorial, you'll learn more about war.
The War Memorial has indoor and outdoor areas.
One of indoor exhibit honours those who fought in the Korean War.
South Korea wants to remember their sacrifice.
On the ground floor, you'll see history from ancient times to the Korean War through models. You'll also see weapons, armour, helmets, and more.
Further inside, there's a section about the Korean War in the 1950s.
It shows North Korea's surprise attack, the role of the UN, and how Koreans lived during the war. You can even experience combat.
Outside, there are tanks, vehicles, and planes on display.
A guide who served in the DMZ, close to North Korea, vividly explains all these things.
