City Hall, Blue Fountain, Synagogue: City Hall is the tallest building in Subotica and one of the landmarks of the city. It was built in 1908 on the site of the original City Hall It took two full years to complete the interior decoration. It was designed by the famous Hungarian designers Komor and Jakab, with typical "Austro-Hungarian Empire" characteristics. The unique red appearance is gorgeous and eye-catching, the exterior walls and roof are complicated and delicate, and the Hungarian Jonai ceramic decoration and iron forging floral elements are extremely luxurious. Some important local historical buildings, such as the Subotica Library built in 1890 and the National Theatre in 1854, are also close to the city hall. Paric Lake is about 7 kilometres away from Subotica. It is one of the largest natural lakes in Serbia. The lake is shallow, L-shaped and 17 kilometres long.
