What you can expect

  • In the shadow of the red light!
This is where sin and crime go hand in hand. We don't have a Reeperbahn in Düsseldorf, but did you know that one of the most famous sex workers of the post-war period came from Düsseldorf? Have you ever heard of the “prostitution menace”? What was the “morals police” responsible for? How were sexually transmitted diseases dealt with in old Düsseldorf?

On this tour, we'll tell you the facts that are bathed in red light: what laws applied to “loose women” in 1878, what role morality played, and what scandals took place in our beautiful city.

Only available for those aged 18+!
