Visit the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, a comprehensive botanical garden that harmoniously blends scientific research, public education, and leisure. Located within the Shanghai Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Songjiang District, the garden covers an expansive area of 207 hectares, making it one of the largest botanical gardens in China and the largest in East China.

Explore the park, organised into four distinct functional areas: the central exhibition area, plant conservation area, five continents plant area, and peripheral buffer zone.

Discover the central exhibition area, a horticultural marvel boasting over 20 specialised gardens, including the East China Botanical Area, the Rock and Medicinal Plant Garden, the Aquatic Plant Garden, the Hydrangea Garden, the Rose Garden, and the Children's Botanical Garden.

See the Quarry Garden, one of the garden's most unique attractions. This area has been transformed from an old stone quarry into a stunning landscaped park featuring sheer cliffs, deep turquoise pools, and winding paths. This ecological restoration project won the Landscape Institute Award in 2018.

Admire the exhibition greenhouses, often described as “giant glass flower houses.” These are among the largest monolithic greenhouses in Asia, covering 12,608 square metres. The three interconnected domes showcase tropical plants with mountains as a backdrop, arid desert plants from Australia, Africa, and the Americas, and rare and endangered plant species.

Visit Chenshan Mountain, spanning over 17 hectares within the park. This area serves as a dedicated conservation zone for indigenous plants native to East China.
