Tea Culture Experience (Approx. 2 Hours)

The session begins with a warm introduction by a professional tea master, who guides guests through the thousand-year history of Chinese tea. Through stories and demonstrations, the tea master explains how tea developed across different dynasties and how it became an essential part of everyday life. Guests may then choose one of three classic teas—ripe Pu-erh, Oolong tea, or Rock tea—for an in-depth tasting experience. Each tea represents a distinct style: the mellow aged notes of Pu-erh, the floral fragrance of Oolong, or the mineral complexity of Rock tea.

Once the tea is selected, the tea master demonstrates the brewing process, covering key techniques such as water temperature control, awakening the tea leaves, and evaluating aroma and flavour. During the tasting, guests learn how to appreciate fragrance, body, aftertaste, and the tea’s evolving character through multiple infusions. Practical tips for brewing tea at home are also shared, ensuring guests can continue enjoying good tea beyond the experience. Time is also set aside for photos at the tea table and open conversation to encourage cultural exchange.

Traditional Osmanthus Balm Making (Approx. 1 Hour)

After the tea session, guests move on to the hands-on workshop to create their own osmanthus balm. The instructor begins by explaining the cultural symbolism of osmanthus in China and the heritage of traditional balm-making, which relies on natural oils, slow heating, and gentle craftsmanship.

Under guided instruction, each guest prepares their own blend by combining natural oils with fragrant osmanthus and other botanical ingredients. As the mixture warms and blends, the air fills with the soft, sweet scent of osmanthus, creating a soothing atmosphere. When the balm is finished and poured into its container, guests take home a personalised and travel-friendly keepsake—a handmade reminder of this calming cultural experience.
