What you can expect

On this day we drive to explore famous region Kakheti.

Visit Bodbe – Monastery is one of the most significant monasteries in Georgia. The monastery is located in the village Bodbe, 2 km away from Sighagi in Kakheti. The area of monastery is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and filled with purest air. This exceptionally beautiful place occupies large area with flower gardens, vineyards, church buildings, and a healing spring. Bodbe Monastery is, actually, St Nino’s Monastery. St Nino’s is of big importance among orthodox Christians, pilgrims from all over the world gather there. St. Nino was the evangelist who spread Cristianity in Georgia. Her grave is still preserved in Monastery.

Sighnagi – Due to its special and unique architecture and natural location Sighnaghi, pearl of Kakheti region (110km from Tbilisi), is one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia. Built 790 metres above the sea level, it overlooks the most beautiful landscape of Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. It was recently restored under government project, but 200-year old view is still preserved. The wall, houses built with Georgian bricks, wooden fretwork balconies, cobblestone pavements, wine cellars, basements and of course the inimitable views produce an unforgettable impression upon the visitors of the town. You can enjoy walking in the city, get up the wall, eat Kakhetian food and drink wine in its restaurants, visit wine cellars, buy Georgian carpets or at least some knitted goods such as socks and hats.

Visit big famous wine factory where you will sample an array of 6 distinct wines, 2 types of chacha and 1 type of Brandy, each showcasing the rich flavours and unique brands that define Georgia's renowned winemaking traditions.
