Teotihuacan was the seat of power of one of the most influential Mesoamerican societies in the political, economic, commercial, religious and cultural fields, whose features permanently marked the peoples of the Mexican highlands. Its impressive architectural layout covers an area of 264 hectares, where are the main monumental building complexes such as the Citadel and the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, the Causeway of the Dead, the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the Palace of Quetzalpapálotl; as well as 4 departmental sets with important examples of mural painting : Tetitla, Atetelco, Tepantitla and La Ventilla, in addition to 2 other housing-cut sets called Yayahuala and Zacuala. The area has two specialised museums: the Teotihuacan Culture Museum and the Beatriz de la Fuente Teotihuacan Mural Museum, where you can learn more about this culture that has transcended time.
