  • We offer free pick-up within the third ring road of the Beijing city. While Beijing is really a very large city, to ensure the morning pick-up going smoothly as scheduled, we suggest you choose centrally located city centre hotels. If the location of your hotel is beyond our free pick-up range, you may need to pay for extra mile transfers or get to an appointed meeting point. For any pick-up issues, your one-on-one travel consultant is ready to help anytime.
  • Travellers will be picked up in the morning according to their hotel locations. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before. Please be ready at the hotel lobby at least 5 minutes in advance, which is the maximum waiting time. For travellers who are late, please go to meet the group and pay for the taxi personally. No-show is non-refundable.
  • Please provide the correct passport information for booking the real-name entrance tickets. And also please make sure to carry the same identification for entry while travelling. Otherwise, entry might not be permitted. If you forgot your passport and need to get back to fetch it, please pay for the transport and later meet the group by yourself.
  • Group Size: About 12 people. There are chances that 5% of the tour groups will exceed 12 people but we will make proper arrangements.
  • Departures are guaranteed with even three persons.
  • Since the Temple of Heaven is closed on Mondays, this tour designer carefully choose the visit to the Beihai Park instead of Temple of Heaven if your travel date happens to meet Monday.
  • Public Holidays: Please aware there will be large crowds and heavy traffic in Chinese public holidays like May Day from May 1st to 5th and National Day from Oct 1st to 7th. We will do the best to arrange the tour.
  • The time schedule of the itinerary is for reference. It will be adjusted according to the traffic and real situations.
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

In the morning, your professional guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby, and then a comfortable and capacious chauffeur-driven minivan will transfer you to the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors worshiped the God of Heaven for good harvest in ancient times. Now it turns out to be a big park where you can see local people doing exercise and more recreational activities. Attention: Since the main historical sites of the Temple of Heaven are closed on Mondays, we will arrange for you a visit to the Beihai Park instead if your travel date happens to meet Monday. This park has stunning landscapes and profound cultural significance.

Next continue your tour to Beijing Hutong. There you will take a rickshaw to go through the old alleys and pay a visit to a Hutong family to see how the old Beijingers live. There are many popular restaurants, cafes and local food stores in the area. It should be a good chance to taste the local food if you want to have a try. Your guide will offer you suggestions. After lunch, you could stroll around Houhai Lake and explore more of the Hutong area. Lama Temple, also known as Yonghe Lamasery is a beautiful old temple in the centre of Beijing. It was initially built in 1694 as the residence Emperor Yongzheng when he was just a prince. Now it is considered as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China.
